Connect With Your Real Self – Your Core Self

Have you noticed that some people are in touch with their feelings with ease? I am not referring to drama, hysterics or emotional games – ‘Poor me, ‘Ain’t it awful, Why me?, etc. I am referring to the deep connection with one’s core. The Self that is the ‘I am,” that is breathing you. It is the ‘I am’ that you are before you took on this human body and after you lay this body down for the last time.

Pause now. Spend a few moments contacting the real Self. Take a deep breath and notice your body. Feel the clothing on your body and feel the air wafting across your skin. Notice what you are thinking. What you were thinking before you paused? What are you thinking about now? Notice your feeling, whether you were feeling happy, sad, concerned or content. What has been the predominant emotional feeling state you were in?

Ask yourself, ‘Who is it in me who can notice my body, but is not my body? Who is it who can notice my thinking, but is way more than the thought itself? Who is it who can notice my feeling, but is not the emotion?’ That One is the real Self. That One is all wise, completely at peace in the now and knows your purpose. That One is your Core Being – Your real Self – Your Soul.

You can make moments like these whenever you choose, by simply pausing for a moment, making contact with the real Self and accessing that place of real peace and wisdom.

Go ahead now. Connect with Your Self within this moment. Notice the moment. Notice yourself in the moment. What are you thinking? What are you feeling? When you practice connecting with Your Self within the moment frequently, you will notice that you can be in touch with your feelings with ease at will.
